‘Evening Light on the Mountains’ – this is a pencil drawing of the mountains in the Cader Idris range where we live. It is captivating how the light on the mountains is constantly changing. Lilac-blue shadows and sunlit edges reveal forms not seen before. Sometimes, in the mist, the mountains seem mysterious and ethereal, while at others, grounded in the solidity of the rocks that formed them. Besides this wonderful kaleidoscope of shadows and light, the mountains also seem to create their own formations of clouds – all in all, a never-ending fascination!
